DigitHaus announces SitePublisher integration with .NET
- Category:
Interwoven SitePublisher and LiveSite have gained enormous market acceptance as powerful tools for creating and publishing rich, dynamic, and targeted content to the web. One market segment, however, in which SitePublisher and LiveSite have experienced less traction is in those corporations whose technology infrastructure is centered on Microsoft products, particularly the .NET platform. A significant portion of the marketplace has expressed a need for the robust content management functionality that exists within the Interwoven solution, but the main barrier to acceptance has been a lack of willingness to migrate core functionality from the .NET platform to Java.
The WCMS Integration Solution for .NET aims to address this barrier. This solution enables its adopters to deploy Interwoven CMS products in the enterprise while leveraging their current investment in .NET applications, web services, and .NET development capability. The solution does so by providing a means of:
- Quickly converting ASP.NET user controls into SitePublisher components
- Authoring pages in SitePublisher which incorporate custom controls which can be configured by business users
- Deploying those pages as .aspx files to a preview application in IIS
- Deploying the finished site to a production IIS server, running as an ASP.NET website.
- Consuming repository assets at runtime via a RESTful web service interface between the website and a LiveSite runtime.
The solution combines the benefits of the Interwoven CMS platform with all of the functionality of existing in-house application code.
